Geraldine B. Jenkins

Geraldine Bernice Burton-Jenkins inhaled May 4, 1934 in Fay, Oklahoma to Guy Burton and Nellie I.

Peppars-Burton. She exhaled on October 18, 2023 at the age of 89.

She was the youngest of eight siblings. She dedicated her life as a child at St. Peters A.M.E. Methodist

Church in  Fay, Oklahoma. She rededicated her life to Christ in 1956, at the Church of God in Christ.

In1984, she had a divine appointment with the bride message of Christ Gospel Church by Erma White

Eagle. She also attended Dunbar School and attended classes at SWOSU in Weatherford, Oklahoma.

On October 17, 1949, Geraldine and L.C. Jenkins were united in Holy Matrimony, and to this union,

Linda, Larry, Jimmy, and Carol were born. She was also the mother to many more, including: Ella Jean Austin, 

her children: Clifford, Cleta, Keith, Glenn and Kevin.

Geraldine was a housekeeper for many years in her community. She was a nurses aid/surgical tech

at Watonga Municipal Hospital. Geraldine was a live-in home health caregiver into her early 80's. She

was Pastor of Watonga Christ Gospel Church until her death.

Her memories will be cherished by one surviving brother, Ernest Burton; three children, thirteen grandchildren; a host of nieces,

nephews, relatives and friends.

Preceding her in death are her parents, siblings: Orville, Lenny, Teddy, Geneva, Emma, and Betty; one son Larry "Kool Man"

Jenkins; grandson, Roddrick Johnson.
