Jane Susan (Pawnee) Tsoodle

Jane Susan Tsoodle was born May 10, 1958 in Clinton, Oklahoma, and passed away Christmas Day 2024 in Oklahoma City.

Jane was a daughter, sister, wife, mother, aunt, niece, grandmother, great-grandmother, and friend to many dearly loved family members and friends.

Jane grew up in Caulmet, OK, where she attended school from the 1st to the 12th grade and graduated in 1976. She was baptized at Rainey Mountain Baptist Church. She was a homemaker and traditional bead worker; she made moccasins in the Arapaho way.

Jane spoke Arapaho language to her grandkids and was a lifelong Watonga resident. She was always good to people, whoever she met in public at benefit dances, powwows, and tribal events, and she was always taking care of others.

Jane took part in the Northern Arapaho ceremonies in Wyoming at a very young age and traveled up north off with her family to attend the sundance.

Jane loved her grandkids and family very much and constantly checked on her family to see if they were okay. She loved making meat pies and frybread.

Jane was preceded in death by her father William Freeman Pawnee, her mother Esther Madbull Pawnee, her brother William Wesley Pawnee, Sr., her brother Samuel Charles Pawnee, her sister Maymie Pawnee, her sister Maggie Patricia Pawnee, her sister Anne Pawnee Pedro, her son Patrick Yellowman, her son Ivan Yellowman, Jr., and her daughters Virginia Lynn and Little Plume Yellowman.

Jane is survived by husband Mr. Mike Tsoodle of Watonga, OK; daughters Carla Yelllwoman of Ethete, WY and Michelle Yellowman of Watonga, OK; sisters Reda Pawnee of El Reno, OK, Muriel Pawnee of Oklahoma City, OK, Esther Pawnee of El Reno, OK, Lilly Pawnee of El Reno, OK, and Wanda Pawnee of El Reno, OK; brothers Robert Pawnee of Shawnee, OK and Albert Pawnee of Calumet, OK; grandkids Isaac Little Yellowman, Allisyn Little Yellowman, Jadrien Little Yellwoman, Jailyn Little Yellowman, Bradlyn Little Yellowman, Matthew Little Yellowman, Jailyze Little Yellowman, Lilly Little Yellowman, Micaelyn Little Yellowman, Audren Little Yellowman, Adriel Eaton, Taryn Little Yellowman, Taylen Little Yellowman, Tayden Little Yellowman, Leslie Little Yellowman, Jordan Little Yellowman, Rosalyn Cortez of Taos, NM and Joss Addison of Arapaho, WY; and one great grandkid, Stoney Little Yellowman.
