Kenneth Robert Burks aka "Kenny" was born October 23, 1973, to Debbie Freeman and
Kenneth Hartfield, and passed away January 31, 2023, at the age of 49.
Kenny grew up attended school in Enid and graduated with the Class of 1992. He attended
college where he played football. Kenny worked at the Enid State School, Sequoyah Enterprises,
Group Homes, and Nursing Homes. Kenny enjoyed working with the youth and elderly. Kenny would
arrange the Fades an Braids events here in Watonga area. He met no stranger, he loved talking
sports, specifically OSU Cowboys. Kenny had a huge heart, he was a teddy bear, a gentle giant.
Kenny married Alana Harper, May 21, 2011. They lived in Enid until 2014 and moved to Watonga
where they made their home.
Kenny leaves to mourn his wife, Alana Burks; daughters: Laniece Harper, Rebecca Burks, and
Raylena Harper; son, Noah Methaney; Grandchildren: Mia Harper and Kenneth Burks; Mother,
Debbie Freeman; Father, Kenneth Hartfield; Siblings: Julia Burks, Michael Burks, Tyrone Burks,
Lily Ritchie, Lorene Ritchie, Wayne Hartfield (Jeri), Shnise Hartfield, Kennisha Montoya, DeAndre
Swanegan, Clifton Grate, Lil Kenneth Hartfield Jr., Miracle Hartfield, Anna Hartfield; a host of nieces,
nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends. He is preceded in death by both paternal and maternal
grandparents and a brother.
