Leon Andrews, Jr Obituary

Leon Andrews Jr. was born on May 13, 1957 to Mildred Agnew and Leon Andrews Sr. in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma.

Leon Jr. married Sharon Rogers in 1978 and to his union two children were born Jatosha and Leon III. he dedicated

his life to Christ and was baptized at Neighborhood Missionary Baptist Church where he sung in the Men's Choir and

served as a Deacon for over a decade. He was honored to be a servant.

Leon attended Classen High School and graduated in 1957. He was in employed by the CIty of Oklahoma for 40 years. 

He started as a Linemman, digging ditches in the mud and retired as an Oklahoma CIty Water Inspector. Leon had 5 

National Certifications. He loved work. Leon arrived 1 hour early to read the newspaper and drink coffee before his shift

started. 

Leon was an avid sports fan. He loved football and basketball. He enjoyed outdoor fishing and watching western TV shows.

Leon loved his family. He lived for his family, children, grandchildren, and great granddaughter. He enjoyed watching them

grow up and achieve their goals. The best hype Paw Paw ever. He was always excited for everyone's accomplishments.

He He believed in supporting them and telling them how proud the made him.

Leon is preceded in death by his mother and father Mildred Agnew and Leon Andrew Sr.; two brothers, Richard Andrews 

and Clyde Gray; 3 sisters, Brenda Hayes, Stella Stevenson, Gloria Jones-Robinson, and mother in love Wynona Brown.

Leon leaves to cherish his memory; his mother, Helen Andrews; wife, Sharon Andrews; children, Jatosha Rogers, Leon

Andrews III(Shante); grandchildren: Martimus Leon Andrews, Cautious Rogers, Cody Rogers, Chase Rogers, Cruiz Rogers

and Cinco Rogers; great grandchildren, Zari Rogers and Wynter Rogers; brothers: Arthur Woody Jr., Ellington Woody,

Billy Andrews (Angela), Elmer Andrews Gary Andrews, David Gray, Charles Stone, Clifford Stone, Paul Brown and Charles

Royal; sisters: Claretta Stone, Regina Stone, Lena Stone, Clarinda Gray, and Lorna McMillian; Uncle Kenneth Black Sr., Aunt

Donnetta Henderson, and a host of nieces, nephews, family and friends.
