Maverick Hugh Humphrey

Our precious baby boy was born into this world on September 17, 2023, and ran into the arms of Jesus on May 10, 2025. Though his time with us on earth was only 19 and a half months long, his impact on his family, his community, and the world was immeasurable. He was deeply loved from the very beginning by both his biological and foster and adoptive family. He brought more joy, hope, and beauty than can even be described to the lives of those who knew him.

Our sweet boy is survived by his biological mama and daddy; as well as, his soon-to-be adoptive mama and daddy, Colten and Emily Humphrey; his four big brothers and his favorite big sister; his Pops and Mimi, Chris and Liz Justice; his Papa Greg and Granny J, Greg and Janell Humphrey; his aunts and uncles, Bailey Justice and Alessio Soldi, Rylie Justice and Blake O’dell, Shelton and Aireal Humphrey, Tanner Humphrey, Kristyn and Kayla Rogers-Shawver, and Isaiah Shawver and Hannah Mock; as well as numerous great-grandparents, aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends who will always hold him in their hearts.

Though we did not get to watch him grow up, his little life will forever be a reminder of unconditional love, strength, and grace. His life, though short, is a beautiful gift from the Lord that we will always treasure.
