Tony attended Polk Elementary, and Hoover Middle School, and was a proud graduate of John Marshall High School in 1978.
Tony excepted Christ at an early age. He was raised in the Church of Christ and spent his life attending 7th Street, Eastside, Northeast, and Putnam City congregations.
While in high school, Tony met and soon after married Christiann Amous the mother of D'Antae and Tanisha Mitchell. Tony then enlisted in the United States Army in 1978, joining alongside his friend Larry under the buddy plan.
