Edward Wayne Flynn was born to Raymond Wayne Flynn and Flora Jean Flynn on January 26, 1961, in Watonga, Oklahoma. He departed this life on May 11, 2026, at Integris Hospice House of Oklahoma City.
He grew up in Watonga and graduated from Watonga High School in 1979. While in school he was an outstanding athlete excelling in basketball, baseball and football. Wayne was member of the 1977 & 1978 state championship football teams. After high school he attended Phillips University on a baseball scholarship.
Wayne worked in many places, but his passion and most prized role was coaching little league baseball and helping young kids with pitching and being a quarterback.
Wayne accepted Christ at an early age in the Church of Christ and at the time of his death he was an active member of Union Baptist Church of Watonga where praise and worship was his favorite time to connect with the lord.
On August 27, 1983, Wayne married LaQuita Farmer. To this union 2 daughters were born. Denise Renee Flynn and MarQuita Nicole Flynn. Wayne later met Trudi Chaney and they shared one daughter, Jordyn Renee Flynn. Wayne also deeply loved his stepchildren Krystal and Nick Fowler.
Wayne is survived by his children: Denise; Jordyn (Clifford); Krystal; and Nick (Miranda). His grandchildren: Amari Khalid; Lyric Flynn; Easton Fowler; Ivory Wayans; Karsyn Fowler & Kayson Fowler. His siblings: Renee (Larry); Richard (Shanna); Floyd; Janell (Greg); Gary & Carla. Also cherishing his memory are a host of nieces, nephews, family members & friends.
Welcoming Wayne into heaven’s open doors were his parents Raymond and Flora and his daughter MarQuita Nicole.
