Pat Lynn (Fortson) Finley

Patricia Lynn Fortson-Finley was born on May 29th, 1959 in Enid, Oklahoma to Henry M. and Larnie F. Hill Fortson and died on Wednesday June 21st, 2023 at her home. Patricia graduated from Enid High, Class of 1977 where she was active in the band, playing the flute. She graduated from Phillips University, Class of 1982 where she obtained her Bachelor of Mass Communication Degree. While in college, Patricia was active in cheerleading. Patricia had such a glowing energy embedded in her smile that couldn’t be diminished. She was a long time member of First Missionary Baptist Church under the leadership of Reverend Alfred Baldwin, where she was active in the Choir and Usher Board. She also ministered the community by volunteering her time and words of encouragement. Patricia is preceded in death by her parents: Henry and Larnie Fortson; two brothers: Edger and Steve Fortson Sr.; one sister, Debra Fortson and one son, Tyson W. Finley. Surviving are one son, Stephan Fortson of Enid, Oklahoma, two daughters: Monique Dortch of Mishawaka, Indiana and Dominique Finley of Enid, Oklahoma, and three grandchildren: Ny’Omi, Khloe and Noah Dortch of Mishawaka, Indiana; one sister, Mary Ross of Kansas City, Kansas; nephews and one niece, other relatives and friends.
